Updated Android app

A new version of the I Am Here application has been released to the Android Market. Two minor changes –

  • Improved the font size on hi-res handsets
  • Added the option of displaying distances in imperial units

    love the app. only thing i wish i could do on it is when i’m picking a spot on the map mode, it would be nice to use a satellite image to see the place i’m selecting.

    Satellite mode shouldn’t be too hard to implement, but we want to limit the number of releases. We’ll put out a new version once we get a few more feature requests / bug reports.

    At last count, there were 7 apps named “I am here” in Android Market. I’m guessing yours is the RMIT one – but it would be GREAT if you could clarify.

    I’m also hazarding a guess that you’re the person behind the geosms wikipedia article. Same thing there – insufficient information to distinguish this particular app from the other “I am here” apps.

    Oh, almost forgot – I really like your blogs šŸ™‚

    Yep, the Android app I’m responsible for is the RMIT University one. The one with the envelope and red pushpin logo.
